Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar recently began work on his next film titled Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar.
The film directed by Shree Narayan Singh, will have PM Narendra Modi’s Swacch Bharat Abhiyan campaign as its underlining subject.
According to reports, the love story that blossoms in this film has the male lead playing character of a Pay-&-Use toilet owner who falls in love with a girl from the slum areas of the city.
The film is believed to highlight the importance of the pay-and-use toilet scheme and curbing the social evil of defecating in the open.
Although ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ is only a week into its production, that hasn’t stopped the makers from announcing 11 August, 2017 as the release date.
The Film Co-produced by Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey, the film will star Akshay Kumar andBhumi Pednekar in the lead roles, with Anupam Kher and Sana Khan in supporting roles.
The film is written by Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal, the writers of the 2013 Hindi film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.
The film has some similarity with an original event in which a 19-year old Priyanka Bharti ran away from her husband’s home in 2012, when there was no toilet.
