The Central site selection team, which visited the two locations for the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bhubaneswar in the city, proposed by the Odisha government, will submit its report to the Centre soon.
The team visited the proposed site near the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) at Gothapatna measuring 79 acres and the other one near the IIT.
The Central team, during its visit, was accompanied by chief engineer, CPWD, Umesh Mishra, Khordha collector, director of International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) and senior officials of IDCO.
The issue of preparedness to commence classes from the next academic session also figured in the discussions, official sources said.
As it has been decided to run the IIM temporarily within the IIIT campus, the team visited the institute and discussed with the officials about the residential and other associated facilities for the students.
