Young Odia singing sensation Barnali Hota has come up with a cover song of one of the gems of Indian cinema ‘Tere Bina Zindagi Se’.
Originally sung by the nightingale Lata Mangeshkar, the heart touching song has created a strong fan following over decades.
“I am a big fan of Lataji and this song is my favourite from the day I first heard it”, says Barnali. “This song always evokes feelings in my heart whenever I hear it and so I decided to try the same myself. I further thank OdishaLIVE to carry it forward and present to the world” she adds.
The cover is titled as ‘Aarzoo’. Apart from the original Hindi lyric this cover song has bits of the Bangla recreation by legendary RD Burman ‘Jete Jete Pathe Holo Deri’ incorporated into it. Barnali enjoyed presenting the master piece of Lata in the dual language.
Another interesting facet to the song is that for the first time, Barnali has also appeared in the video of the song directed by Tusarkant Swain. This sure will be a surprise to most of her fans who are already in love with her soulful voice.
Barnali has gathered a dedicated fan following for herself courtesy her easy stage presence, beautiful personality and melodious voice.
Sharing on the screen acting, Barnali recalls “I was very new to acting. But it was difficult and an enriching experience too. I hope, my fans will appreciate the effort.”
“We are happy that Barnali has chosen a great piece of Indian music which is popular across generations. We are going to showcase and promote the song in our digital and social channels. It will be released on Thursday on our YouTube Channel – www.youtube.com/odishalive”, says Mr. Nilambar Rath, Founder Editor and CEO, OdishaLIVE.
Barnali has already proved her mettle as a singer by winning hearts globally and OdishaLIVE is proud to say that one of her songs has crossed one million views on our channel. “We look forward to releasing more of her covers in the future”, adds Mr. Rath.
The poster and teaser of the song has been already released prior to the release of the cover, OdishaLIVE digital team has informed.
