Veteran singer Asha Bhosle has has recorded an Odia song at a studio in Mumbai, Odia song composed by famous music composer Shankar Mahadevan on Thursday.
Asha informed that she had recorded the song with her granddaughter Zanai.

Notably Shankar Mahadevan had recently performed in Odisha capital during the inaugural function for Asian Athletics Championship.
After a gap of 36 years, Asha ji has recorded an Odia song. Her last was in 1981 when she lent voice for ‘Jahna Go Tume Jhurana’ from Arati. Prior to that she had sung sung ‘Jhimi Jhimi Ta Maaja Dakile Na Chhadibu’ (1976) from Samaya, ‘Mu Hajichi Tuma Aakhire’ (1977) and ‘To Na re Pindhili Sadhi’ (1959) from Maa.
